A computer or computer system has two main parts: hardware and software

 

Hardware 

In simple language, hardware is that which can touch any part of the computer, such as monitor, mouse, keyboard etc. Hardware handles both the devices inside the computer and outside the computer, which enable the computer to perform tasks like input, output, communication, storage, processing and more.

Any mechanical parts of a computer are considered hardware.and Hardware also has mainly two parts, external hardware and internal hardware.

 

External hardware:External hardware is the hardware that works outside the computer. All the computer devices that are outside the computer are called external hardware. Since they are outside the computer, we can easily see or touch them, such as keyboard, mouse, CPU, monitor etc.

 

Internal hardware:Internal hardware is the hardware that is found inside the external hardware, the internal hardware devices that work on the computer are RAM, motherboard, hard disks etc., all these hardware are found inside the CPU, all these are located inside the CPU, but they can also be seen or touched, so they are called internal hardware.

 

Software

Software is a general term used to refer to the application screens and programs that run on any device. Software is a set of instructions, data, and programs to perform a specific task, unlike hardware, which refers to the physical components of a computer that enable the computer to perform specific tasks, unlike hardware.

Software is a way that helps us to run the computer, and helps us to solve our particular problem. If there is no software in the computer then we will not be able to run the computer, and this software does not only run the computer, this software also works to run many machines. This software is also of two types, system software and application software.

 

System software:System software is the software that runs the machines like Windows operating system. If the Windows operating system is not installed, the computer will not be able to start. Therefore, for any machine to start, it is necessary to have system software in it.

 

Application software:The software made to do a specific task on the computer is called application software. This software is installed inside the system software like Windows, Android etc., and this software comes for each different task, like if we want to play a video then we will need the MX Player application. Similarly, there are different application software for different tasks.

 

Difference between hardware and software 

Computer systems are divided into hardware and software. Hardware is the physical component of the system, including monitor, mouse, keyboard, CPU, etc., and software is a set of instructions that allow the hardware to perform specific tasks

Hardware means the physical parts present inside the computer, it includes processor, memory, motherboard and many other things. Software means the programs and operating systems which are used to access the computer.

 

Important parts of software and hardwere

Hardware:The motherboard is often considered the most important piece of hardware in a computer. Because it is made up of many parts, this device powers and controls the hardware, connecting the hardware units and their functions together to enable the computer to process.

 

Software:Operating system, compiler etc. are the main parts of system software, through the operating system the system software can control the functioning of the computer, and this system software controls the external devices of the computer such as storage devices, printers and monitors etc.
