Analogue computer

An analog computer is a type of calculating machine that uses physical phenomena such as electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic quantities that behave according to mathematical principles to solve problems.

Analog computers are mostly used in the fields of medicine and science.And analog computers are generally used to measure physical quantities such as temperature, distance, length, height etc. Analog computers accept analog data signals as input and process analog data to give output in analog format

These quantities can take any value within a given range, and they are represented and processed using analog circuits and devices, such as resistors, amplifiers, and capacitors.

 

Digital computer

A digital computer is an electronic device that can store large amounts of data and is able to perform a set of arithmetic calculations and logical processes at high speed. A digital computer is a computer that uses the digital technology of 0 and 1.

It processes digital results that have different values, most computers work on this system, and this digital computer gives accurate results at a faster speed than any other computer.

Super computer

Supercomputers are the largest and fastest computers in the world and are designed for specialized tasks. They are powerful, highly accurate machines that are capable of processing huge sets of data and performing complex calculations at very fast speeds.

What makes a supercomputer super is its ability to interconnect multiple processors within a single system. A supercomputer has to handle a large database. In a supercomputer, many CPUs work in parallel, which is why their working capacity is very high. A supercomputer has thousands of processors installed which are capable of doing thousands of crores of calculations per second. This computer uses parallel processor to work, in which it divides a task into small parts and each microprocessor does each task separately, in it all the tasks are done simultaneously. Linux operating system is used in most supercomputers.

 

Use of supercomputer: Supercomputers are used in areas where large-scale calculations are required. Traditionally, supercomputers have been used for sensitive and engineering applications that can handle large databases. Historically, supercomputers have also been used for weather forecasting, air search, nuclear arsenal calculations, mathematical modeling, etc

 

Hybrid computer

Hybrid computers are those computers which are made up of both analog computers and digital computers, and analog computers show the features of digital computers, these computers are capable of processing both controlled generated data and digital data,

due to the availability of both digital and analog features these computers are called hybrid computers.

 

Working of hybrid computer: Hybrid computer is such a computer whose purpose is to provide functions and facilities of both digital and analog computers, applications that process both continuous and discrete data work in hybrid computers, this type of computers give signals to the analog computers and convert them into digital form before processing, hybrid computers are used in places where both analog and digital computers have to be processed. It is mainly used in petrol pumps, airports, science field, and medical field etc.
