Development and history of monitors
The first computer display was the Xerox Alto, released on March 1, 1973. This monitor used CRT technology. It was developed at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), and was primarily designed by Charles P. Thacker.
- 1024*760 resolution was supported on color CRT displays in the late 1980s.
- Apple was the first company to introduce color LCD monitors for desktop computers in 1998.
- The new generation LED monitor was first introduced in 2008.
Monitor in operating system
Monitor is a synchronization tool in the operating system that helps control access to shared data and ensure collaboration between concurrent processes, it is a package that includes synchronization between shared data structures, operations, and concurrent procedure calls.
best monitor for computer
The best monitor yet is the MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED, this is a premium 32-inch, 4k monitor with a QD-OLED panel that, although designed with gaming in mind, is perfect for a variety of uses, and delivers fantastic picture quality.
who invented the monitor
The monitor was first invented by Karl Ferdinand Braun in 1897, he invented the cathode ray tube (CRT) which was an important development in history, Karl Ferdinand Braun was a German physicist and inventor.
How the monitor works
- Signal acquisition: The monitor receives the video signal from the computer
- signal processing: The monitor’s control circuit processes the signal, and prepares the image for display.
- Image Display: Image Display The display panel displays the image that is shown to the user.
Monitor power consumption
The power consumption of a monitor depends on factors such as the type, size and usage of the monitor. Here are some general information about monitors.
The LCD emulator consumes 15 to 40 volts of power at normal level.LED monitors consume 10 to 30 volts of power and OLID monitors typically consume only 5 to 20 volts of power.
How to reduce power consumption of your monitor?
First of all, reduce the brightness, because by reducing the brightness of the monitor, the monitor uses less power. Use the power saving mode in the monitor which reduces the power consumption, and when the monitor is not in use, turn off the monitor so that the monitor does not consume unnecessary power.
